Ski patrollers need harnesses, rope, carabiners and other hardware to perform a lift or gondola evacuation in case of a mechanical failure. In some cases a rescuer must climb a lift tower, rope in to a belay team, attach a Rollcab roller wheel to the lift cable, then move down the cable to the nearest gondola car.
