The rope will break before the device! Testing shows a 12.7mm diameter rated lifeline breaks at around 26kN, around the nose of the Scarab device, on the Stainless Steel version...not the Titanium version as this versions maximum rope diameter is 11mm

This device will also not twist your lifeline below you as an added feature!
