Patroller Digital & Directional Beacon Tranceiver for saleThe all-digital features of the Patroller makes it very easy to use. The device is equipped with three antennas making it extremely precise in pinpointing another beacon and indicates additional multiple burials in a confined space.

The display clearly shows the precise distance to the victim and indicates the direction to search by means of three bright directional arrows. The Patroller Digital comes with a one-belt system that guarantees a comfortable fit and ease of handling. The device is very light weighing only 247 grams including batteries. The housing is completely waterproof, impact-resistant and ergonomically shaped. An express emergency changeover from reception to transmission can be activated in case of a follow-up avalanche and provides extra safety.

The Patroller Digital requires two AA batteries that can be bought everywhere.

Ortovox states a 40 meter range for the Patroller avalanche beacon but this is the digital range. A greater range up to 65+ meters is possible using the audio feature of the beacon.

The longer range of this affordable digital beacon is due to the audible/analogue feature which allows the user to hear the victim(s) from outside of 60 meters, then the digital arrow led's and numerical display screen give visual cues to the user/rescuer aiding in a quick pinpoint of said victim(s).
